Tulips are originally from Turkey and Iran and found their second home in Holland during the last years of the 16th century. Grow them in a well prepared, good draining soil or, if growing in pots, choose a good quality potting mix. In our climate, tulips are best treated as annuals although in cooler areas they can be lifted and stored in a cool place for replanting next season.
